I don't know if it's a better book than the first one, which is probably the greatest sci fi of all time. BUT I think I enjoyed Messiah even more??

Duncan Idaho becomes my favorite character. Ghola existentialism is excellent

The part where the stone burner makes everyone go blind and Paul can still see is LITERALLY PEAK FICTION
